A Note from Co-Chair Andy Walsh on the 2019 Each Moment Matters Luncheon

As we are nearing the end of the summer and hopefully surviving the hot, August heat, Thear and I wanted to share our 2019 Each Moment Matters Luncheon progress.  We have been blessed with an outpouring of support and generosity over the past few weeks.  Our event promises to be hugely successful as we remain on our current path of fine tuning details and reaching out to our community of friends and colleagues.

With the countdown on, we’re determined to make it more successful than ever for the mission, families, and loved ones we serve.

Onto the update…

The Honoree photographs and book design have been completed. Several of our honorees toured the T. Boone Pickens Center and the Wildenthal Education Center during their interview and were genuinely impressed.

We are finalizing details for the Honoree Reception. This evening holds such importance because it will be the first opportunity to introduce our honorees who are honorably serving others.

Our team enjoyed a wonderful visit to the hostess of our Patron Party at her beautiful home.  She was incredibly welcoming!  It is such an amazing feeling when people open up their hearts, homes, and financial support to celebrate our anniversary year.

In July, Honorary Chairs, Tom and Laura Leppert joined us for a tour and lunch at the Pickens Center.  We spent more than two hours sharing the vision, mission and heartfelt stories of families who have been touched by the care, grace, and peacefulness of the center during their family member’s stay.  We are grateful to all who we have taken the time to personally meet with us and take a tour.
Some of you may have noticed our numerous social media posts. Please take a peek and share the good news about our event!  Ask your friends to “like” our page! This will go a long way to expand our community and message!
Once again, Sammye Myers has graciously agreed to be the Ambassador for the Butterfly Giving Tree along with the assistance of Charlene Stark.  We are thrilled about this program because it directly connects to our mission and hope everyone will encourage our guests to visit the tree and purchase a butterfly.
