What to Eat to Fend off Alzheimer’s and Other Dimentias

Forefront Living welcomed AWARE for a special luncheon and presentation by Dr. Annie Fenn, MD, on February 23 in the Wildenthal Conference Center. Aware is dedicated to fighting Alzheimer’s disease by providing funding and support to programs, projects and research provided by nonprofit organizations that actively help individuals affected by Alzheimer’s in Dallas and the greater North Texas area.

Approximately 50 attendees braved the Dallas sleet and ice to hear Dr. Fenn, Physician, Chef, Founder of Brain Health Kitchen speak about What to Eat to Fend off Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias.

The group dined on dishes designed to help fend off Alzheimer’s including:

  • Kombucha Berry Fizz
  • Dried Fig and Olive Tapenade with Crudité and Crackers
  • Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Apple, and Greens Salad
  • Halibut with Roasted Grapes over Pumpkin Polenta
  • Flourless Chocolate Olive Oil and Blood Orange Cake with Vanilla Bean Cashew Cream

The delicious menu was created by Dr. Fenn and prepared by PVN’s Chef Kevin Neff.
