A Note from Brooks Powell – February 2026 Post date February 12, 2026 Senior Living Independence Month is a great opportunity to highlight the vision for life at Bella Vida (BV). The whole community, including the buildings, support services and staffing structure, is being designed with independence and choice at its core. The ability for residents to make their home in independent living and then remain there while bringing in support provides unique flexibility. Additionally, staff positions dedicated to wellness and care coordination will enhance resident access to resources that promote good health and address changing needs. By providing a flexible support infrastructure, BV places care decisions back into the hands of its residents, promoting their continued independence. BV is experiencing many exciting milestones as construction progresses on our campus. However, the development that we are most excited about is Sally Casey’s return to our team. Sally, BV Director of Marketing and Sales, was sorely missed by our VIPs and teammates over the last few months. We are thrilled to welcome her back and look forward to continuing to grow our community together. Her absence has been keenly felt by many of our VIPs and by her teammates at the Information Center. We are thrilled to welcome Sally – and her genuine, fun spirit – back! Second, the process of building the BV team is beginning this month as we are starting the recruiting process for our Director of Facilities. This is an exciting milestone as we continue towards officially opening. The Director of Facilities is a critical community role and is part of the core leadership team. This position is oversees Maintenance, Housekeeping, Grounds and Concierge teams. Professional responsibility includes work order prioritization and completion, management of capital projects around the campus, emergency preparedness procedures for each level of care, preventative maintenance of core systems and coordination of third-party resources to meet the many operational needs of a functioning community. During the construction phase, this teammate will be another set of eyes and ears checking the progress and quality of the work being done. They will stay busy monitoring the setup of the campus physical plant and systems, as well as defining the policies and processes that will enable their successful operation. This is an important hire to get right! To make sure that we place the correct person in this role, we will be looking for the best candidates to interview through Bella Vida’s multi-step hiring process. As someone who went through this just a few months ago, I can tell you that hiring for all positions at Forefront Living (FL) is rigorous and thorough. Our goal is to be intentional about finding the best possible fit for both the technical requirements of the position and the cultural distinctives that set FL senior living communities apart from others. We’ll keep you updated on the search! Sincerely, Brooks PowellBella Vida Executive Director ← Older Posts Newer Posts →
