Giving to Forefront Living Foundation
Ways to Give.
Your tax-deductible gift to the Forefront Living Foundation helps ensure that we can continue our work for years to come. Here are some of the many ways to give.
In looking forward to the future, we want to ensure that the T. Boone Pickens Center continues to provide exceptional care and service at the end-of-life. With that in mind, we have embarked upon an endowment campaign and are excited to announce that we have an anonymous $5 million matching gift opportunity. Each gift or pledge will be matched 100%. We have a goal of reaching this match by February 2021. For more information or to schedule a tour, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 214.413.1577. To make a gift, please go to forefrontliving.org/foundation and note that it is for the endowment campaign.
The T. Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center opened in March of 2017, and U.S. Veterans were among our first patients. With your generous contribution this memorial will honor Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Marine Corps veterans.
We are also honored to be the first organization to dedicate a memorial honoring those who served in “The Bloody Hundredth” bomb group. This is your opportunity to place the name of your loved one who served in the 100th Bomb Group and commemorate their patriotic legacy.
Faithful Friends is an affinity group whose purpose is to provide support and advocacy for Faith Presbyterian Hospice and the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center. If you have been personally impacted by services or if you just want to be a support, Faithful Friends is a great way to learn more about the organization and learn about the big and small ways you can help end-of-life experiences feel less isolating and even celebratory.
How your membership helps. Faith Presbyterian Hospice serves more than 1,500 families each year who are facing the end-of-life or loss of a loved one. Together we can help ease their burdens and help create special moments. Through our Faithful Wishes program, Faith Kids (children’s grief support groups), or assisting with special occasions, the Faithful Friends network is a source of continued financial and volunteer support.
As a Faithful Friend, you will receive invitations to exclusive talks and a special reception for Faithful Friend members. Additionally, Faithful Friends will have an opportunity to share the great work of Faith Presbyterian Hospice, learn of volunteer opportunities, and help provide special moments for patients and families who are facing end-of-life and embarking on their grief journey.

Our ministries answer the prayers of many in our community. Leave a legacy for yourself and your family, while giving generously to programs that ensure quality care for residents and patients who need your help. We’ll be happy to clarify, in detail, how each giving instrument works. Please join us as we serve those navigating life’s transitions.
A gift in your will or living trust
Also known as a charitable bequest, this gift in your will or living trust entitles your estate to an unlimited federal estate tax charitable deduction. This is one of the easiest ways to leave a legacy.
When you name Forefront Living Foundation as a beneficiary to receive assets such as retirement plans and life insurance policies after you’re gone, you can extend your gift beyond your lifetime. You can review and adjust beneficiary designations any time you wish.
Charitable gift annuities
This is a gift that lets you support the Foundation, while you receive regular payments and a variety of tax benefits, including a federal income tax charitable deduction.
A charitable trust lets you or others you name receive income each year for life for a term of years from assets you give to the trust. After this term, the balance goes to the charities of your choice. You can tailor your gift to meet your personal, charitable and financial goals.
When you give the Foundation a gift of appreciated property you have held longer than one year, you get a federal income tax charitable deduction. You avoid paying capital gains tax, and you no longer have to deal with that property’s maintenance costs, property taxes or insurance. There are a number of ways to give real estate, and we can explain them.
Memorials and tributes
These allow you to honor a loved one or special occasion with an annual or endowed gift, while financially supporting the work of our mission.
This is usually the first step toward creating a full, permanent endowment of at least $10,000. One or more donors may give the full amount in one lump sum, or pledge to give a specific amount each year until the fund reaches $10,000 (typically over a 5-year period). The Foundation invests the funds, and once the goal is reached, the donor(s) may name the fund in honor or memory of a loved one. The donor will receive a yearly report of how much was accrued and how your gift was used.
A fully established endowment is one in which a donor provides $10,000 or more in one lump sum. These funds are invested by the Foundation and used to grow the fund and support the critical work of the ministry. The original gift will not be spent in a given calendar year, but a lesser portion will provide support for decades to come. Donors may increase their endowment funds at any time. These endowments are generally named in honor of the donor, or in memory of a loved one. They are a critical part of our support. The donor also receives an annual report on how the gift is used.
Donor advised funds
Like a charitable savings account, you may transfer cash or other assets to the Foundation from your Donor Advised Fund. You can then recommend, but not direct, how much and how often money is granted to the Forefront Living Foundation, as well as suggest a designation.
