Faithful Friends Learn About Hospice While Playing BINGO

The Faithful Friends affinity group gathered on September 1 to continue their series focused on hospice. Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) teammates, Morgan Gillis, Rhonda Taylor-Blair and Elise Power, discussed the myths and realities often associated with hospice care supplemented by a BINGO game designed to make the program interactive.

During the hour-long event, those gathered were introduced to the new chair of Faithful Friends, Maria Reynolds-Diaz. Maria shared her background and passion for hospice with the group as well as upcoming opportunities to become more involved. Throughout the evening attendees had an opportunity to socialize with each other and learn more about the Faithful Friends organization. The Faithful Friends also participated in a service project in which ribbons from the annual Faith and Grief Memorial Arch were untied and preserved for use in a future project.

FPH’s Mabee Foundation Café provided a delicious spread of hors d’oeuvres and refreshing cocktails for the attendees by and gorgeous floral décor was donated by The Garden Gate.

Faithful Friends exists to provide support to FPH in large and small ways. This affinity group is offered special invitations to inspiring and informative presentations, receptions and volunteer opportunities as they strive to establish ways to help those experiencing the end-of-life make each moment matter.
