Introducing Jon Karp

Jon P. Karp, a new member of Forefront Living Foundation’s Board of Trustees, has more than 25 years of tax, advisory, financial services and public accounting experience focused on C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships and high net-worth individuals. Jon serves as Tax and Consulting Partner for Whitley Penn where he works with clients in the energy, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution, retail, professional services, nonprofit, real estate and construction industries.

Jon serves on the Executive Committee and is a Past Chairman for the Texas Business Hall of Fame. He is a member of the Texas Business Leadership Council, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), the Dallas Chapter of TXCPA and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Jon is also a Continuing Professional Education Instructor at Surgent and a past Board of Trustees Member of Temple Emanu-El in Dallas. He was previously named to DCEO’s Dallas 500 List, featuring profiles of influential leaders in DFW.

Jon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies from Southern Methodist University and completed post graduate studies in accounting at The University of Texas at Arlington and The University of Texas at Dallas. Jon and his wife Lori have been married for 25 years and have three children Shira (age 23), Max (age 21) and Brady (age 15). Jon’s hobbies include reading, fishing and watching basketball.
