Lunch and Learn: Creating a Culture of Philanthropy

Each month, Forefront Living teammates gather during their lunch break to participate in educational training sessions and informational presentations called “Lunch and Learns.” For November, the spirit of giving and fostering a culture of philanthropy took center stage as select members of the Forefront Living Foundation (FLF) team (Diane Fullingim, Sarah Jones and Carol Smith) led a presentation on “Fundraising and Creating a Culture of Philanthropy.” Their aim was to inspire all members of the organization to perceive themselves as advocates for fundraising, empowering them to communicate our mission and financial requirements effectively.

During the session, they shared how small gestures such as sharing Forefront Living social media content, warmly receiving visitors on campus, recognizing the donor wall during tours or contributing a photo or story to the marketing team can significantly contribute to achieving organizational annual fundraising goals. These efforts are essential to sustain the ability to provide the exemplary, compassionate “Faith Difference” end-of-life care for which Faith Presbyterian Hospice is renowned. The presentation concluded with the FLF team encouraging fellow teammates to embrace the idea that everyone within the organization plays a role in fundraising, emphasizing the positive impact possible through shared efforts.
