Uplift Students Share Joy with PVN

In a heartwarming display of thoughtfulness, students from Uplift, the special needs young adult class at Wind Rose Academy in Plano, recently crafted and distributed 70 seasonal goody bags to the residents of Presbyterian Village North (PVN).

These goody bags, assembled by the students, included a mix of handmade crafts, pens and candy treats. The sweet gesture provided seasonal cheer but also helped to foster connections between the students and the residents of PVN.

Among the students involved in this touching project is Cody, an Uplift student at Wind Rose Academy. Cody finds joy in visiting his grandmother, Nancy a PVN resident, to enjoy lunch together on Sundays. What makes Cody’s involvement even more special is his genuine interest in getting to know other PVN residents by introducing himself and learning their names.

Wind Rose Academy provides high-quality education for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental and social challenges. The academy’s commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment is evident through its compassionate outreach to the broader community.
