$550,405 in Gratitude: Residents Rally to Thank Their Teammates

The creation of the Employee Appreciation Funds across Forefront Living’s operational communities grew from residents’ desire to meaningfully thank the teammates who care for them every day. Because residents are not permitted to tip or personally gift employees, the fund provides a collective and equitable way to express appreciation. Through the program, teammates receive their gift based on length of service, ensuring every team member is recognized fairly for their care, concern and dedication.

The generosity of residents makes this long-standing tradition possible. Most recently, residents across Presbyterian Village North (PVN), The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) and St. Joseph Village (SJV) contributed a combined total of $550,405, all of which was distributed directly to teammates. Participation is always voluntary and guided by the heart of the giver, but the impact is shared by every teammate who helps make these communities such special places to live. Presently the funds for OAW and SJV are managed by the Forefront Living Foundation and will begin managing PVN’s fund in 2026.
