Families preparing for a summer experience at Camp Buckner can look forward to a renewed tradition of healing and fun during the Faith Family Retreat in partnership with Camp Erin DFW.
Taking place June 25-28, 2026, at Camp Buckner, the retreat will continue to deliver the heart of what families have appreciated through the years from Camp Erin DFW, while introducing new opportunities for recreation, reflection and memory-making.
Throughout the four-day retreat, participants will take part in grief support sessions, group activities and family-centered experiences designed to encourage healing and bonding in a compassionate environment. Traditional camp activities will be available throughout the weekend including: fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, trail rides, movie nights, campfire songs and s’mores, along with plenty of free time for campers to spend as they wish.
The Faith Family Retreat will begin Thursday, June 25, with registration and a welcome gathering in Faith Hall. The weekend will continue with guided grief sessions, recreation and evening activities before concluding with a final gathering to bring the experience to a meaningful finish.
