Alyssa Elizondo joined the Bella Vida (BV) team in September as the Community Life Coordinator. In her role, she will plan resident activities and programs, providing residents with fun opportunities to try new things and meet others. Before joining the BV team, Alyssa worked for the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department as a community center leader, where she organized activities and implemented programs for children, adults and seniors. I’m passionate about bringing people together and helping individuals feel welcomed and valued. I enjoy creating opportunities for residents to build friendships, explore new interests and feel a sense of belonging in their community.
What will set Bella Vida apart from other senior living communities?
I think what will set Bella Vida apart is its strong sense of community. I want it to be a place where residents have activities to look forward to, can easily build friendships and always feel at home.
What are you most proud of in your career?
I’m proud of the experience I’ve gained working with people of different ages and backgrounds throughout my career. Each role has helped me grow, both personally and professionally, and shown me how much I value connecting with people and making a positive difference in their lives.

On the weekend, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my nieces, watching sports and just relaxing at home with a good book or audiobook.
What are your favorite foods or restaurants?
I love Tex-Mex and Italian food! Olive Garden is one of my favorite restaurants. Fettuccine Alfredo and Olive Garden’s Chicken and Gnocchi Soup are two of my favorite dishes.

I recently got engaged to my college sweetheart, Juan, whom I met while attending Texas A&M University – San Antonio. I’m also a proud aunt to two little girls, ages three and eight months. I also have a French bulldog, named Bleu, who keeps me on my toes!
How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as loyal, trustworthy and dependable.
What is something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a big Disney movie fan! I love the magic of Disney movies and the way they bring a little extra happiness and magic into everyday life. Beauty and the Beast and Brother Bear are my two favorites.
