SJV Marketing Team Attends Greenbrier Sales School Post date January 21, 2026 Jaret Schkade and Angela Espinoza, St. Joseph Village (SJV) Residential Sales Counselors, kicked off the new year by investing in professional growth, attending Greenbrier Sales School at Greenbrier Senior Living’s headquarters in Vestavia, Alabama during the first week of January. The immersive, week-long session offered expanded tips and practical strategies designed to strengthen sales approaches and support long-term success in senior living. Hosted by Greenbrier’s leadership team, the training included sharing information to better understand aging and how families think and make decisions in this phase of life. Thee training emphasized the importance of guiding seniors and their loved ones through a big life change with care and trust. The Greenbrier approach combines basic healthcare and hospitality knowledge with simple sales skills, storytelling and relationship building with the end goal being emphasizing how to skillfully share the opportunities available at SJV and how to help families feel confident about their choice. “One key takeaway I brought with me from Greenbrier Sales School was the reminder to be patient with my words. I did not realize how often I unintentionally cut people off simply to fill the silence. I was genuinely surprised by how much more information I could gather by adjusting certain words and phrases (for example: “I’m just curious…”, “Would you mind…?”, “Well, the good news is…”) and then allowing space for silence,” Angela said. “Learning to be comfortable with that silence gives others the opportunity to truly think, process and recognize their situation and the decisions they are making. This perspective was incredibly impactful and has already changed the way I approach conversations.” By participating in Greenbrier Sales School, Jaret and Angela gained fresh perspectives and tools they can apply immediately, which has helped them begin the year energized, informed and ready to make an even greater impact. by Wendy Van Bemmel ← Older Posts Newer Posts →
