This summer, Forefront Living (FL) will host Camp Erin DFW 2026, a bereavement camp to support children, teens and their families who have experienced the loss of a close loved one. The camp will take place from June 25 – 28 at Camp Buckner in Burnet, Texas, located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.
Camp Erin DFW, part of a national program created by the Eluna Network, is offered at no cost to participants. The experience combines traditional camp activities, like swimming, kayaking, archery and campfires, with grief education and emotional support led by trained professionals and volunteers.
Interest in Camp Erin continues to grow each year. To date, 22 families are registered to attend with three spots remaining. In response to feedback from last year, FL added an extra day to the program to give participants even more time to build community, reflect and heal together.
Upcoming key dates include Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, May 30, and a “Sip & Sign” event Saturday, June 13, where attendees will gather to complete paperwork and get ready for camp.
Volunteers are an integral part of Camp Erin DFW. From supporting group activities to simply offering a caring presence with families, volunteers help create a safe and welcoming environment. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and complete required training and screening.
