Joey Villarreal joined the Bella Vida (BV) team in September as Housekeeping Manager. He looks forward to leading the BV Housekeeping and Laundry team in providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, teammates and visitors of the BV community. Joey is a U.S. veteran and brings more than 12 years of experience in housekeeping, maintenance and security operations of corporate facilities and luxury resorts and spas to his role. I am passionate about building strong relationships with my teammates, residents and guests. I enjoy creating a workplace culture built on teamwork, accountability and respect while maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and providing excellent guest service. Most importantly, I believe in having fun along the way.

I have been blown away with Forefront Living and Bella Vida’s focus on hiring teammate’s who best fit the culture, with that fit being just as important, if not more important, than the experience they bring. From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed as family and that feeling stays with me every day. I am most proud of the person I have become through my experiences in life and service. As a combat veteran and a father, I am proud of the strength, resilience and perspective I have developed. I am especially proud of being a dependable father and positive role model for my children. Over the years, I have learned the importance of staying grounded, leading by example, treating people with respect and continuing to grow through challenges.

During football season, you can find me at home in front of the TV on Sunday with plenty of snacks!
My favorite foods include:
Crab legs are my kryptonite. My family knows I’m easily schmoozed into almost anything with the promise of crab legs.
In my free time, I enjoy:
I enjoy do-it-yourself projects, traveling and watching a good movie.

I am the oldest of two and my younger sister lives in Michigan. I am the dad of three adult daughters Brittany, Jessica and Jaylene. My family has a long history of miliary service, and I served in the Army as an Airborne and Air Assault soldier and am a combat veteran.
Fun facts:
In high school, I was voted Class Clown each year. My great (x4) grandfather rode with Pancho Villa!
How would your friends describe you in three words?
My friends would describe me as loyal, funny and dependable.
What’s something that people might be surprised to learn about you?
People would be surprised to learn that I was a successful music producer who worked with MTV, VH1, Ecko fashion and Vanessa Hudgens, just to name a few.
